Oriented Strand Board uses the same system as plywood: opposing-orientation of wood-fibres creates rigidity, allowing a very stiff panel without great weight. Ideal for roofing, wall sheathing, hoardings and flooring. VK Timber & Building Merchants OSB is certified as 'Chain of Custody' approved. OSB Boards come in a variety of thicknesses. We can also supply OSB Roofdek. To construct Medium Density Fibreboard, wood fibres are bonded together with a synthetic resin adhesive. The result is extremely versatile and can be supplied with moisture-resistant properties and is also available in lighter weight version for when application demands.
